Lucy O. Torres

Age 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, entered eternal rest peacefully on December 23, 2022. She was born on January 7, 1931 in San Bernardino, CA. She attended schools in the S.B.U.S.D. On June 23, 1951 she married Salvador G. Torres, the love of her life, they enjoyed 66 wonderful years of marriage together. She was a homemaker, wife and mother, working many years at the Harris Co. and retired after 12 years with Bakers drive thru. She preached importance of family, was a PTA and classroom mother volunteer, and also involved with her children’s little league, Brownies, Girl Scouts, dancing, and drill team activities. She was a member of the Guadalupanas of our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She is survived by son Greg (Melissa), daughter Stephanie (Ruben), 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren with one due to arrive in June 2023, brothers Joe and Richard Ornelas, sister Ramona Rios and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Salvador G. Torres, parents Jose and Cuca Ornelas, brothers Chavel, Henry sisters, Erlinda, Lupe, Amelia, Elvira, Carmen, Josie, Beatrice, Helen, and step grandson Matthew. She lived a long beautiful life and will be missed and lovingly remembered. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404 from 4 to 8 PM with rosary at 6 PM. Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 1640 Western Ave. San Bernardino, CA. 92411 at 10 AM on Friday, January 27, 2023, burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
