Gigi, I'm so sorry your father has left this world but I know he will always be in your heart with loving memories. Your love for him would always shine through when you spoke of him. What a loving, kind and compassionate daughter you have been for both your parents. Deepest sympathy for you and your family.

Oh, Nanaji of mine, the time has come again.
In the afternoon you asked me for a walk,
A trip to where four walls cannot contain us.
I held your hand as we left, four steps down
the walkway and the driveway came upon us.
the hill was the hardest, always the hardest
the weight of life pulling us, but we overcame.
We went down the street leading each other
one set the path, one set the pace, together.
Stopping, we sat to feel the world around us.
And, oh Nanaji of mine, how time passed.
We sat, and time, the greatest of all thieves
Came and walked by leaving its mark on us.
We entered the house wanting to leave it again
but fate had chosen for us, it was our last walk
Years seemed to pass, and you sat on the patio
led by another to escape the same four walls
we so despised to be contained within.
But now, my dearest Nanaji, time has come again
for us to lead each other down the street,
but now you shall set the path, and I the pace.
You will sit once more, Nanaji, by my side
and we shall feel the world together one last time.
Nanaji, I wouldn't trade this chance for anything,
My last chance to say goodbye. I love you Nanaji.

To my dearest Nannaji,

The idea of not coming home to the complete family is coming as a shock to me. The little things that made up my daily routine, like making you your chai- extra strong and at 3 o'clock sharp or cutting you an apple- without the peel, of course, will now come back to haunt me as tiny holes in my heart.
I'm going to miss you. I'm going to miss hearing the jokes you'd make out of the blue during dinner and then watching you argue with Mummy for that piece of gurd you knew you shouldn't be having afterwards.
It's true there were some bad days, but they did not define you. You were my loving Nannaji, the funny old man who scared the hiccups out of me when I was little. I remember when we were visiting India and you tricked me into eating carrots by telling me they were Cheetos because you knew I was too picky for my own good, but then you talked to me and Mahn about what you hoped for the future. That's who you were, my Nannaji, and I will miss you forever.

Gigi, all my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Sadly words will never be enough to fill the void left in your heart but know that love will help support you until you are together again.

Gigi from the bottom of my heart please receive my condolences and sympathy for the passing of your father, from our conversations I know he was a special soul just like you, it is hard to lose one's father but he had to rest and you my friend still have a lot to do on this earth. It started out a normal day
and with one phone call it all went gray
It was just so sudden you had to go.
People keep asking if I'm ok
the answer is no but its yes I say.
I'm trying to move on
but it's just not fair that you are gone.
I knew that it was coming
