Margery Lois Anderson, the loving daughter of Herbert Anderson and Naomi Spiess, was born March 6, 1923, and grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. There she spent her childhood and early adulthood. While working at the nearby Air Force base during World War II, she met and married Fredric Edward Schmuck January 3, 1942. It was during this time that she converted to Catholicism, and remained faithfully devoted for the rest of her life.
From there they moved to Michigan and lived in Dearborn for ten years and moved to California in 1955. Margery loved her family and took great pride in her role as a wife and mother.
Margery was a long time resident of Anaheim, Lake Arrowhead and Loma Linda, California.
She loved the mountains, was active in volunteer work, and supported many charitable causes.
While she made a valiant effort to recover from surgery to repair the damage from a recent fall, she died September 11, 2010 in Riverside.
Her son, David, described her beautifully in his tribute, “M.O.M. (Most Outstanding Mother)
The word Mom is usually not thought of as an acronym, but in the case of our Mom it is an appropriate one. The letters of this acronym mean “Most Outstanding Mother”. Our Mom was the best. There is no other way to say it. She was a devoted Mother and true believer in the Lord. She dedicated her life to Religion, Family and Friends and for that matter to anyone else that she thought needed her help. She was diligent and firm with the raising of us children. Dare not harm one of her children and as one of her children dare not step out of line. The consequences of either were swift and severe. Due to her methods of child raising, she has produced an excellent Family. We are all close and are productive individuals. We will keep our Mother in our prayers, thoughts and hearts forever. While we grieve for the loss that we have suffered, our sorrow is softened by what our Mother taught us of God and the eternal life of happiness that awaits us all. Rest in Peace our Beloved M.O.M.
She is survived by her seven children Fred Anderson (Wa), Donald Alan (Corona, Ca), Susan Jones (Mira Loma, Ca), Michael Schmuck (San Mateo, Ca), Marcia Schmuck (Mira Loma, Ca), David Anderson (Corona, Ca) and John Anderson (Yorba Linda, CA). She took great joy in the lives of her 7 children, 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is dearly loved and will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
