Mario Gomez

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mario Gomez, who entered eternal rest on February 27, 2026, at the age of 78.

Mario was born on September 24, 1947, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He later made his home in San Bernardino, California, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and community.

Mario dedicated 40 years of service to Kaiser, where his commitment and strong work ethic left a lasting impact. In addition, he proudly owned and operated his own carpet cleaning business for 25 years, demonstrating his determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to providing for his family.

Above all, Mario was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Alicia, and his five children: Orlando, Hector, Ledy, Erick, and Mariela. He was the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his two brothers and two sisters.

Mario had a vibrant spirit and a presence that could light up any room. He loved to dance, and his beautiful smile was unforgettable. Known for his big and caring heart, he was always ready to help anyone in need. One of the simple joys that made him uniquely him was his love of whistling—a sound that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the legacy of love, strength, and kindness he leaves behind. Mario will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will continue to live on through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.

Visitation will be held at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404, US, on March 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404, US, on March 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404, US, on March 16, 2026, from 1:15 pm to 1:45 pm.
