Oh how I loved being called Max's " Big Sister". He so loved to tease, but he even loved it more when he would get it back... You knew you were loved by Max by how much he " ribbed " you.
Max, you were a gentle, giving man, always there to lend a helping hand, and especially there to give advice.
Few men in our Kiwanis family were more loved or respected, although we couldn't let you know it. ( considering your Ego and all ) lol.....
You left shoes too big to fill. but you also left us with memories and a desire to attempt to be half the person you were..
We cherish the time we had with you and we thank you for always, always being " You."
You shall ever remain in our hearts.
We will look out for your " Pauline"
Love you, Diane and Don deBouguignon

Pauline & Family,

We are very saddened for your loss. We will greatly miss our conversations and laughs with Max at all of our family functions. He was always full of humor, wit, and encouragement- with a great big smile. His gentleness and kind hearted soul made him easily lovable. Our thoughts and prayers are with you & your entire family during this difficult time. May you find peace and comfort in the word and promises of the Lord.

With deep sympathy & love,

Jorge, Kat, Benjamin & Isaiah Martinez

Papa, Growing up I didn't have Grandfathers, both passed when i was very young. Right from the beginning you asked me to call you Papa and you accepted me like a Grandchild. You always made me feel loved. You always supported me and encouraged me. You never judged me when I made mistakes. You always had good advice for me. I'm going to miss our conversations. I'm going to miss your smile. I miss you Papa. I Love you.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

Papa, I never knew your first name because you treated all of us like family. You were loving, kind and generous to your family, friends and community. As a matter of fact, you never really had to pretend, you were a real live Kris Kringle and this is how I will remember you.
