

Carol Becklund, 75, of San Bernardino, California, died peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2014 at home. Born August 16, 1939 in Bladenboro, North Carolina, she is predeceased by her parents, Martha and James Skipper of North Carolina.
In 1984 Carol, along with her cherished daughter, Kim started and operated a flatbed freight trucking company, C&K Transportation, which succeeds to this day. When she wasn’t running the company, she loved to garden, particularly roses, and liked to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kim Cooper of San Bernardino, and Angie (Tom) McVeigh of Redondo Beach, California, and son Jim Cooper of Glenallen, Alaska; her sister Vivian Young of Springfield, New Jersey; and five grandchildren, Joseph and Samantha McVeigh of Redondo Beach and Joshua, Ian and Grace Cooper of Seabeck, Washington; and three great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Martha Dearrigon of San Bernardino for her loving care, support and Community Hospital Hospice Care for their care and guidance in her final days.
