Richard was born on October 14, 1959 in San Bernardino, CA to Valentine and Nellie Razo. He grew up in the city of Rialto where many childhood friends remain. Richard worked at Woolworth, Southland and finally, Stater Bro’s warehouse where he was a forklift operator for 26 years. On October 10, 1981, he married Carmelita Razo. They raised four kids together, Jesicah, Salina, Alexander and Richard jr.
Richard gave his life to the lord on July 28th, 2019 at Sandal’s church in Riverside. He was a God-fearing, humor filled, precise man and had a love for the LA Dodgers, Rams and Lakers. Richard and his wife, Carmen, liked to spend their time together going for drives, talking and laughing about times gone by. When they heard good music, they danced and danced. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and coming home from a hard day’s work with surprises for his family. He had an interest in fishing and astronomy where he shared his amazement whenever there was a scientific phenomenon occurring. Richard had great relationships at work and never stopped making people laugh. He was the person that his coworkers would reach out to for advice, as he always held an uplifting, positive attitude. He was a role model for many individuals at the Stater bros warehouse. Richard was and is a solid foundational piece of the Razo family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carmelita Razo, their four children; Jesicah, Salina, Alexander & wife, Geniene, and Richard Jr., along with their grandchildren; Janailah, Jordan, Jennali, Josiah, Melody and Giselle. He is also survived by his parents, Val and Nellie Razo, brother, Michael and wife, Nina Razo, sisters, Sandra Aguirre and Valerie(Rudy) Villagran and a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 at Mt. View Mortuary in San Bernardino. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, there will be a limit on individuals for the chapel. The grave side ceremony is unlimited and will begin promptly at 2:15.
