An active alumnus of The University of Colorado at Boulder, School of Engineering, Bob began his career at Curtis Wright, where he helped design, and test propellers for airplanes used in WWII, and commercial airlines. Later he worked for Emerson Electric on gun turret radar systems for Navy, and Air Force fighter jets. Keeping abreast with a changing industry, a final move was made to Rialto in 1961, where Bob worked on the Ballistic Missile System for TRW at Norton AFB. Bob retired in 1996 from Sargent Fletcher to enjoy traveling, keeping up with technical advances in his field, his ham radio, political discourse, family, friends, and continued participation in 55 years of choir, and worship at Grace Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by his sister Dorothy, and wife Cora, he is survived by his daughters, Pauline Riggs (Rod), of Monterey, Ca. Carolyn Secor (Ron) of Redlands, Grandchildren Joshua, Carlye, Emily, and Lucas, Great Grandson Conor, and 18 wonderful nieces and nephews.
Internment will be private, with a Memorial Service to Celebrate his Life, at Grace Lutheran Church, Saturday July 22, at 4:00PM.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
