Rosemarie Villapondo Rodriguez, age 84, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona from this life into eternal life on Monday, February 3rd, 2020. Rosemarie was born October 12th, 1935 in San Bernardino, CA. She lived in California for 82 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and great grandmother. Her smile was infectious. She will be missed by all who met her.
Funeral services will be held on March 13th at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA. Services will begin in the chapel at 10:00am, graveside service will follow at 11:00am, and a reception will be held starting at 11:30am in the Hinze Hall reception room.
Rosemarie was born in San Bernardino, CA to Joe R. and Mary Rodriguez. She had 18 brothers and sisters. She graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1954. She loved going to all the school dances and games. She was also on the Yearbook committee. She continued on to graduate from San Bernardino Valley College with an Associates of Art degree in 1956. She worked over 20 years for the San Bernardino City Schools as a Teachers Aide. She enjoyed working with kids. When she retired in 2000 she continued to volunteer for Easter Seals taking kids on fun excursions.
Rosemarie had two life passions. Her first passion was spending time with her family. Her second passion was serving God and Christ. She was very active in her church and loved holding bible studies to share the good word. Her family has been blessed due to her faith and serving Jehovah over many years.
Rosemarie was married to Robert Sanchez on April 7th, 1957. They lived in Highland, CA and were married for almost 30 years. They had 3 children. We fondly remember the many vacations they took us on. Rosemarie enjoyed visiting many places... Hawaii, Mexico, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada.
Rosemarie is survived by: Her loving children - Son Mark Sanchez, Daughters Roberta Valencia(David), and Donna Ramirez (John). Her grandchildren - Alex, Monique, Sean, Aerika, Mikki Rae, Mia, David, Melissa, Jonathan, Romeo, and Samantha. She had 17 great grandchildren. Her sisters Connie, Mary Lou, Carmen, Stella, Patricia, Elizabeth and brother David.
She is preceded in death by: Her parents Mary and Joe Rodriguez, Husband: Robert Sanchez, Sisters: Hope, Helen, Josie, Dora, Vera, Wina and Loretta. Brothers: Joseph "Chuck", Raymond and Moody.
Mom... Your life was a blessing, Your memory is a treasure... you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
