Travis Tyrone Robinson

Above all, Travis was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and deeply loyal friend. He built a beautiful life in California with his beloved wife, Rosario, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Their union began at a time when such love stories were far from common, but their bond endured through all—filled with laughter, devotion, and deep companionship. He was the love of her life, and she was his. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and unwavering support for their family.

His service in the United States Air Force offered him the opportunity to travel the world—and it was during that time that he met the woman who would become his wife and lifelong companion. His distinguished military career spanned over two decades, earning him numerous honors including the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with eight oak leaf clusters, the Vietnam Service Medal with five campaign stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross.

After retiring from the military, he continued to serve with quiet dedication as a U.S. Postal Clerk for over 20 years, providing stability and care for his family.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing—especially trips with his son to Alaska, Mexico, and local lakes. With his daughter, he shared a love for books, deep conversations, attending jazz music concerts, and Scrabble.

He was adored by his six grandchildren, Garrett, Phaedra, Elizabeth, Eva, Eden and Ellis, who delighted in his sense of humor, thoughtful gifts, and the way he celebrated their successes with unmatched enthusiasm. He took great pride in their accomplishments, always encouraging them to be their very best.

Though he raised his family in California, he often spoke fondly of his loved ones in Virginia. He remembered with deep affection his younger brother Jonathan and his wife Ruth, nephews Arthur and Elton, and cousins Barbara, Jackie, Karen, and Robert—along with many others in the extended family. He was especially grateful for the chance to reconnect with many of them in recent years during a cherished family reunion, which he attended with his grandchildren.

He also leaves behind dear friends—some known across decades, others made in more recent seasons—whose love and loyalty he treasured deeply.

He leaves his family with broken hearts and a legacy of love, loyalty, and strength. A man whose presence filled every room with warmth and wisdom, and whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
