Alfred A. Braga, died peacefully on April 20, 2012 at the age of 96. Born in Taunton, Massachusetts on August 25, 1915, he served in combat in World War II. His wife of 71 years, Mary P. Braga preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Boone and Debra Braga (husband Gary Berger), granddaughters Lisa Krekler (husband Kevin) and Kimberly Boone, and great grandson Jacob Krekler. He also leaves his brother in law, Anthony Pereira, niece Mary Louise Pereira, and nephew Anthony Pereira, Jr. and his family all of San Diego, and many nieces and nephews on the East Coast. Many thanks especially to the Pereira family for everything they did for Al. Mr. Braga lived in the Point Loma area of San Diego since 1945, and was a commercial seaman. He loved his family, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was loved and will be missed by all. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 12:00 PM Fat ort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
