Alice Adolphson, 95 years old, of La Mesa, California, passed away on May 4, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1930, as Alice Howell in Tustin, California, the youngest of five children. Alice moved to San Diego in early 1955 where she met and married Wallace Adolphson later that year. They raised their four children in the La Mesa home that they bought together in 1955, which she remained in until her passing. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Alice was the cherished matriarch of a family spanning five generations. Her strength, determination, warmth, wisdom, and infectious sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Martin Bryan of Kauai, HI, Antoinette Kruse of Alpine, CA, and Alan Adolphson of San Diego; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Her legacy endures in the stories we share, the lessons she imparted, and the love she gave so freely.
A graveside service for Alice will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92113.
