Alicia Franca

Alicia fought her battle with liver cancer the same way she did everything else, with grace and determination.

Born in Fort Hood Texas to Oscar and Carmen Cancio and raised in Tucson Arizona with her younger sister Cecilia.

As a young woman Alicia moved to San Diego and met Steve Franca. They were married on August 6th 1988. Steven Jr. was born on August 21st, 1997 and she decided to stay home. She was so proud to be Steven's mom.

She was a very private person. Enjoyed Sunday afternoons at Shelter Island relaxing.

She is our angel watching over us now. Preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Carmen, Alicia was able to make the trip back to Tucson to bury her father. She passed away a month later. Survived by her husband Steve, son Steven, sister Cecilia, and many cousins, family, and friends.

A Memorial service for Alicia will be held Friday, May 13th 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Immaculata Catholic Church, 5998 Alcala Park, CA 92110.

Following the memorial service will be a graveside service from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102.
