This is from Rollen and Rose, approaching 2 months after Allen’s passing.

Rollen:
Today I microwaved some pancakes and French toast sticks and topped them with whipped cream and this reminded me of all the great pancake breakfasts I shared with my mom and dad. He would always make the best waffles and pancakes! Small memories like these, my mom and I truly cherish with him. 

Rose:
This morning I woke up earlier than normal mornings. Turning on the side of the bed without my husband. I was deep in my thoughts thinking about our usual mornings: talking about lives, activities of the stock market for the week, whispering about Rollen’s life, plans for the weekend, etc.  After thinking of all these special memories, I got up and called my sister Lili while sipping our favorite coffee in the morning. Then Rollen woke up and joined me in the kitchen – good morning mom!  I gave him a morning hug that both came from me and his dad – to include a kiss on my forehead. Then I got out of the house and started to water plants and moving things around with silent tears in my eyes.  

We would take our dog, Ace, to Fiesta Island and have a great time letting him play and run with others dogs. All three of us would go golfing at Pro Kids and we always had a great time, my dad could play the course with a putter! Every dinner time, we gathered around the table as a family and had great conversations and laughs. We enjoyed watching 60 Minutes, Shark Tank, and ABC World News with David Muir. We had family conversations about finance and the stock market. 

We both miss Allen very much. We were in the backyard this morning, and Rollen was having a hard time without his Dad. But Rose told him that we need to accept the reality of life, that we borrow our lives from God, and God loves us, so He brings us back to Him. We will “continue to build on the loving relationship you are building on,” as Allen said to Rollen on May 9 in the VA Hospital.

Darling, babydoll, hon, babe, mom, and Rose, were my husband's names for me. We spent 27 beautiful years together. He would take me back from Malaysia to the Philippines, to travel in the USA, Mexico, and Europe. 

Your love is and was special to me and will not fade nor tarnish until the end of time. You have allowed me to become the person I am today with your kind and outpouring support. You always understood who I was. You are truly a one-of-a-kind man: respectful, loving, smart, full of knowledge, supportive, and above all you value your family before yourself. 

Thank you for the opportunities you have given me to cherish life in America, giving me a son, and sending me to school to receive a master's degree. I cherish these memories.

He would make dinner for Rollen and I, wash the dishes, give me massages, make me a drink occasionally, surprise me with fresh roses from the garden when I was feeling lonely, and especially Saturday morning when I woke up. I especially miss those weekend mornings when I tell you – hon please let me sleep for another ten minutes and those ten minutes became an hour or more, and you never complained. You spoiled me with outpouring and unselfish love from the day I met you.

Hon, as I said over and over to you while you were here on earth, I will always love you until the end of time. You were called to be with our beloved God in Heaven earlier than us but for sure we will be meeting again when our turn comes. Please keep the Kingdom of God tidy for us and we shall reunite again when it is our time. Rollen and I love you so much and you will always be in our hearts and prayers. Please guide us on how to make the right decisions in life and look upon us especially Rollen’s chosen career and his future goals. I honor your expertise, intelligence, and teachings, they will not be forgotten!

In 1970 I had the opportunity to meet Allen, at that time we were a couple of young engineers, he was 32 years old and I was 30, since then we were great friends and more than friends, we looked at each other like two brothers, whenever he introduced me to his clients, he said, "this is my Mexican brother Nacho". 
Also, we were partners in several businesses for more than 50 years.

He was a wonderful and kind person, for several decades he helped me with practically everything I needed with my personal business in the U.S.A., just like I did for him in Mexico.
With his family, he was an admirable husband and father, and for his kindness, we all know that he is resting in peace next to the Lord in paradise.

Thank you for your great friendship, I will always remember you until the last day of my life.
God bless you my brother, rest in peace.

Hi Mabuhay…

My name is Anabella Palma Schwab. I am the first cousin of Rose Palma Ellsworth, father's side. My mother and Rose's father were siblings and were very close to each other. For the legacy that our parents had left us … Rose and I treat each other like sisters too.

During our college life, we studied at the same school at the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City, Philippines. We were roommates and split one room. 

As days went by, Rose moved to Malaysia and worked there, and Allen met her there and one day they got married and lived in America. Sometimes, I spoke to myself and said: How I wish one day I could come to the United States so that I can meet my cousin and her husband. I will meet my cousin and her husband … and it happened. My second time in America was in 2004 and I lived in Long Beach, California. One day I went to the Mormon temple in La Jolla, San Diego, and Allen came to pick me up and brought me to their home. He was so kind and helpful to me and he welcomed me to visit them. I told him thank you very much for your kindness and most of all, I told Allen thank you for taking care of my first cousin Rose. He smiled at me with a huge admiration I saw in his eyes.

I never came often to their home, unless Rose's other cousin, Marilou, invited me to visit Allen and Rose in San Diego. One January we went, and it was my birthday. Allen brought me to a buffet for lunch and bought me a birthday cake. When we returned to their house, there was a birthday cake waiting for me on the table.

This was one of my sweetest and greatest memory which I can't forget about Allen. He was a kind and sweet man. From his kindhearted attitude, the Almighty Father in Heaven had blessed him with a young, smart, and handsome boy, Rollen Ellsworth.
We will be missing you so much, Allen. Your humble heart will remain forever in our hearts and the greatest of all was you really took care of my cousin Rose and your son Rollen and Ace.

 I would have called you today and you would have said well Hello daughter! and I could hear the smile in your voice that would fill my heart and soul with love.  I have also learned that you have touched others in the same way.
 I wish I could have told you how proud I am of you with your steadfast goals and accomplishments and the love for your family and friends. You would think of others' needs before yours. You sacrificed much so others could prevail. You have left me with a fond heart and many words of wisdom and the love of Rose and my brother Rollen. I am a better person for having you in my life and blessed to have you as my father and I will miss you dearly.

Happy Birthday Grammpa.  I love an miss you. Miss the way you always say okay.  See you some time in the future.  Xoxoxo.  

Happy birthday  grandpa I love and miss u. I had such a good time with u Rose and Rolland during our last visit. I think about ur smile and your voice all the time. Thank you for all the love you have shown me threw out the years even when I was a little brat you were still loving kind and hospitable. Love and miss you always and forever.

      Allen and I, and with my brother Dennis, are first cousins. My dad and his mother were brother and sister, so I guess my brother and I have known Allen the longest since both sets of parents are now deceased. 
     I remember when Allen first got his car. He came over and picked me up to go to school one day (he is 9 years older than I), and then he picked me up from school and took me home! I thought that was the bee's knees for him to do that. Whenever we spoke he would ask me "What's buzzin', cousin?" I knew it was him.
     When I decided to join the Marine Corps after two years of college at Nevada Southern University, I talked to Allen for any pointers about the military that he could give me since he served in the Navy. We talked for awhile and I decided the Marine Corps was the way to go.
     As time went by, I didn't see or hear from Allen much and then one day he called and asked if he could come over for a visit. I invited him for dinner.  My older children were thrilled to meet him as they had not seen an adult male in the house for quite some time. My husband was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Allen would return about every two weeks for dinner and soon after he and his wife and step-daughter Stacey moved to Escondido. I was thrilled as I finally had a relative close enough to visit.
     As the years went by I began to see Allen more and more, especially since he suggested we take my brother to Mexico for his dental problems to save money. Dennis and I would drive to his house and jump into the Montana van and off we would go. We saved a lot of money with his generosity of time and willingness to take us there.
     Dennis and I will sincerely miss our  cousin, who gave so much to so many people. We'll see you on the other side and I'll know you when you ask "What's buzzin', cousin?"

I met Allen when Him and cousin Rose have Rollen. It was the happiest moment to welcome a new hybrid member of our clan. Allen always happy and warmly welcoming all of us in his home. He will do everything to comfort us, to make us feel at home.

Family bonding continues every year; birthdays, summer at beach, Thanksgiving and most of the Holidays.

Allen’s loves of Rose, Rollen including relatives and friends was unmeasurable. Always glad to share and help. A person everybody will respect, love and share any thoughts, because he will always listen and willing to help and guide to solve your predicament.

We will missed you, your teaching and guidance. Allen Rest In Peace, with your absence physically, but spiritually, you’re always around us. 

We will continue the journey, and will copy of what you did to us. Helping and guide Rose, Rollen, family, relatives and the entire clan.

I (Charlene) met Uncle Al back in May 2016. My husband (Kim), myself and our then 7month old daughter (Ivory) were on our way to Alaska due to a military move/change of duty station and we drove all the way from Texas. Kim made sure we had enough time to stop by San Diego so I can meet the Ellsworth Family because they hold a special place in his heart. The moment I stepped into their home, all of them were very welcoming. Uncle Al made sure he acknowledged everyone’s presence. He was always like that. He made sure everyone was comfortable. He did not want to leave anyone unnoticed or unappreciated. He would always start interesting conversations, share his point of view, give logical advice, and listen to our stories and adventures. Kim speaks so highly of him and in my heart, i clearly understood why. Our trips to California will never be complete without visiting the Ellsworth’s, not because we were forced to do so. It was almost like a calling. It was something we took upon ourselves to do without being asked. Of course, Uncle Al would always welcome us with open arms.  We will surely miss the conversations over dinner and the family gatherings during the holidays. He may not be physically here, but Uncle Al will forever be in our hearts. We love you Uncle Al, Auntie Rose and Rollen.

St. Therese of Lisieux once said “The world’s thy ship and not thy home,” this quote I take to heart, and moreover, this quote gives me comfort regarding my dad’s passing. I have countless memories with my dad, and as I reminisce on them, I realize just how exceedingly great of a father he was.

My dad would take me on business trips in Mexico to familiarize me with business in production. He would take me to Pro Kids each Friday in City Heights to play golf. He would encourage me to go skiing, scuba diving, sailing, bowling, golfing, and playing the piano. He taught me about the stock market, banking, changing front and rear car brakes, proper dating etiquette, and much more.  When new opportunities would arise, he would encourage me to do them, but never force me. I remember him talking about these activities as opening doors for my path into life. He mentioned the overwhelming different choices a young person faces in choosing a career path, and he wanted to open as many doors as he could for me. For this I am ever grateful. 

We worked as a team all throughout our life, especially as I got older. Some mornings he would peel an orange for me before I went to school, and in return I would make him breakfast, his favorite I believe was Honey-nut Cheerios with strawberries. I especially remember him singing this song, Oh What a Beautiful Morning by Rodgers and Hammerstein I believe, some mornings he drove me to school, “Oh what a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day. I have a wonderful feeling, everything’s going our way.” 

What I think I will remember most about my dad is his hardworking spirit. At over 80 years young, he worked on installing bathroom tiling, regularly went to Mexico for business trips by himself, installed fences, and remained to work on his business after his terminal diagnosis of cancer. P.A.W.S, an acronym from Sandburg Elementary School, which stands for Positive Attitudes Will Succeed, were his words to live by. 


Allen was my friend.  He was the most generous man I have ever met. He was also kind and proper in his manners.  He took pride on his beautiful family.  He always bragged about his son Rollen. His face and his eyes brighten everytime he shared with me his son's accomplishments. I felt excited just to see him talking. He also was very proud of his wife Rowena and his life together. He was a family man but most important a great human being that I had the priviledge meeting in San Diego and Baja California. I will miss his jovial attitude and his joy for life. Love you Allen. I am very grateful to GOD that I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful human being.
Mr. Allen Ellsworth, always a gentleman , sweet and hard working person.
A few years ago Mr. Allen invited me to work as a team member of his company GCMS.  I worked in the industrial sewing  area , the manufacturing companies were in Ensenada and Tecate, B.C. Mex
When we visit the manufacturing facilities to follow up with production, he always was enthusiast  and keep track of every detail in the production management. 
He always guide me and teach me  how a professional 
business person  should be and that was Mr. Allen  !
My admiration for him grew up day by day ! I will always remember him as an optimistic , brilliant, intelligent , caring and totally happy person.
I will miss  Mr. Allen very much and he will always be in my heart!

Allen was a dear friend and colleague.  We traveled to Mexico together many times and had many tacos at the side of the road.  One time he had to see a few customers so he left me at taco stand & went around corner,  I spoke pretty good Spanish so I chatted up the staff whilst he conducted his business.  Upon his return, the staff assumed he also spoke Spanish, so they asked him a question in Spanish.   We sat down to eat & it was great!  Allen didn't understand, but didn't loose a beat, he tried to say "No Espanol", but accidentally burped loudly , then blushed and said, "it's good",  there was an awkward silence then I chimed in "Comida es Bueno" & everyone smiled, laughed & brought out more tacos!  He could always make people Smile!!  
Miss you my friend!  Mexico will not be the same!!

Allen has always been an amazing friend to us. He was the guy we could always count on.  During our several moves with the military,  Allen was always the first person to ask: "What do you guys need? Is there anything I can do for you?" He was extremely friendly, helpful and very generous.  
He was also very practical and he always found the positive side in any situation.  
Allen always put family, friends and relationships first. He knew the value of great relationships. He always made an effort to visit us with his family wherever the military sent us. Rose, Rollen and Allen visited us in Quantico, VA, Twentynine Palms, CA, Big Bear Lake and they even flew out to Stuttgart, Germany to see us and discover Europe.  We drove to Hungary together, which is where Allen's parents were from.  Allen loved his Hungarian origin and the Hungarian way of cooking.  I think it was his first time visiting this beautiful old country. 
We were so happy to see the Ellsworth family again upon moving back to San Diego last fall. This time Allen was still in great shape and looked to be doing well.  I can't believe how fast things happened in the last few months and can't believe he is gone. 
Allen will be missed forever and  he will also be remembered and loved forever in our hearts. ❤

My heart aches when I heard about Uncle Allen passing. I have been taking time to process his passing. My brain had accepted the news when I first heard it but my heart was having a hard time--I went home and sat in the bathroom for a long time crying that first day.
However, I took comfort in knowing that he is now in god's arms with love and I know one day we will meet again.

I am so lucky to have had you in my life for the last 17+ years. You watched as I grew from a young girl to now married and soon to have a child of my own.  Whenever I had a hard time in life, you would always be there to cheer me on, saying "you can do it"---I'm going to miss you so much.

I had the honor to have met Allen back in 2011, while working on a project in Tijuana, Mexico. Through the years, Allen and I quickly became good friends and business partners!  Whenever I would come to Allen with a new opportunity or idea, Allen would always encourage me to pursue it… “George, do your RND, write it up and then let’s review it! 
I even had the pleasure to have meet and become part of his beautiful family (Rose, Roland, Debbie, and their family dog Ace). 
Allen, you will sadly be missed my friend, I can truly say you were a man of “INTEGRITY” and “HONOR” A true Mentor to me as well as to others!

I’m so sorry for your loss,  Allen was a wonderful friend I met Allen 1998 at Qtron through his wife Rose.
We all became friends, I spent some wonderful time with Allen and Rose going to Mexico to shop and eat, at their home and many Happy Hours.
Then Rollen came along, we had some lovely time and lovely memories.

Allen's legacy left to us was a bit spectacular! As my cousin-in-law he seemed like a big brother to me and closest uncle of my two children.
He's a man of hardwork, patience, determination and wisdom whom the family, relatives and friends  were proud of.
AL, I'm sorrry for I didn't get a chance to help Inday Rose and Rollen to take care of you.
Due to Covid restrictions,  it's quite hard for us to accept the fact that we were absent during your tough times at home and at the hosoital. Hope you understand...
Thank you very much for being to kind and supportive to all of us . You will live in our hearts until forever!



Allen really showed us how to fully live our lives.  He was such a present person, front and center in organizing activities and celebrations.  Together with the Ellsworths we have made memories camping, skiing, boating, swimming, worshipping at church, and pot-lucking.  We have seen Cabo San Lucas, Legoland, Big Bear, and cruised the Mexican Riviera together.  We have spent our holidays together.  And every time we would gather, Allen would always make it a point to tell us that he loved us.  We love you too, Al, and we miss you.  One day we will all be together again to continue with more adventures.  Thank you for blessing us with your life and love.  Rest in heavenly peace.

I've known Allen for almost 20 years through his wife, our relative "Weng".   What a surprise; he used to work at one of our sub-contractor, DynaBil Industries, an aerospace company.  From then on, we chatted about work everytime we met at family gatherings.
However, we both got very busy, so we seldom see Allen and Weng.  I did not even met their son and totally forgot Rollen's existence, until Allen passed.  -  What a fine young man he turned out to be.  Allen, I bet he'll be just like you and more.  This, because you are a hard working and loving family man; thus, you are blessed with loving families and friends.  You are richly blessed.
You got my respect Allen.  I salute you.  Enjoy God's blessings and graces!!!
