

Andres Navarro Embuido, 73, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2016 at his home in Mira Mesa, California. He was happily married to Zenaida R. Embuido, with whom he shared almost 50 years of marriage. Born in Dagupan City, Philippines, he was the son of Antonio and Espirita Embuido. He attended Mapua Technical School as an Engineering major and then proudly joined the U.S. Navy, serving as a Seabee, where he retired after 25 years. He was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mira Mesa. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and was loved by everyone he met. He will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and selfless dedication to his family and friends. He is survived by wife Zenaida, his children: Lorna (spouse, Ben), Philipp (spouse, Jodi), Gina (spouse, Joseph), and Andrew (spouse, Rusty), his ten grandchildren: Destine, Zeandre, Zachary, Alex, Samuel, Jolene, Benjamin, Xyrelle, Harry, and Bethany; as well as his kidney sister, Imelda Lariza. He is preceded in death by his parents, Espirita and Antonio Embuido, and his brother, Federico Embuido. His surviving siblings are Lucia Rico, Felipe Embuido, and Agustin Embuido. The visitation will be held on August 3, 2016 at El Camino Memorial from 4 to 9 p.m. His memorial service will take place the morning of August 4, 2016 at El Camino Memorial from 8:30 to 10 a.m., and will be followed by a military honors service at the Miramar National Cemetery immediately at 11 a.m. and ending promptly at 11:30 a.m. The Embuido Family will be collecting photos of Andres at the beginning of each service; guests are encouraged to leave their favorite photos of him, and memorable stories, as a keepsake for the family.
