Rosie was a part of my  life from childhood through 2015.  She was always spunky.  I enjoyed  visiting her in El Cajon and seeing her husband's exotic chickens.  

My last memory of her was in 2015 when I was in the San Diego area for a conference.  I had lunch with her, her sister and some other acquaintances.  She was in her 90's then but still very sharp and had a great sense of humor!

RIP sweet Rosie!

I AM SADDENED TO HEAR OF AUNT ROSIE'S PASSING, SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CARING PERSON.      

MY PARENTS WERE MOVING FROM SEATTLE TO EL CAJON TO BE NEAR HER WHEN MY DAD (ALEX) SUDDENLY DIED. 
 MOM MOVED THERE AND AUNT ROSIE WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH MY MOTHER AND TAKING HER WHEN SHE NEEDED A RIDE SINCE SHE DID NOT DRIVE A CAR.

 MY FAVORITE MEMORY OF HER WAS WHEN I WAS 16 YEARS OLD AND SPENT THE SUMMER WITH HER IN EL CAJON.
SHE ALWAYS COOKED ENOUGH TO HAVE LEFTOVERS THE NEXT DAY AND ONE DAY SHE MADE A LOT OF BAKED POTATOES AND I ATE SEVERAL SO THERE WASN'T ANY LEFT FOR THE NEXT DAY'S MEAL.
SHE LAUGHED AND COULDN'T BELIEVE A LITTLE GIRL LIKE ME COULD EAT SO MUCH.
I'LL NEVER FORGET SEEING THE EXPRESSION ON HER FACE WHEN SHE SAID THAT.

RIP AUNT ROSIE!
