Antoinette was born on January 1, 1920, the sixth and youngest child of Catherine and Pascal Halet of Alhambra. She married William (Bill) Cracknell in 1948 and moved to Arcadia where they raised their daughters, Diane and Carol. Toni and Bill were members of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Sierra Madre until relocating to Oceanside in 2004 to be closer to family.
Throughout her life Toni worked both inside and outside of the home. In her final years, the memories she recounted most often and most vividly were those spent enjoying her close-knit family and wide circle of friends.
Toni lived a remarkably long life, illustrated by the fact that she both entered and left this world during global pandemics. She was the last surviving member of her generation in both the Halet and Cracknell families and as such was cherished by the younger generations, particularly her many nieces and nephews.
Antoinette was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, William (Bill) Cracknell and is survived by her daughters Diane Kunberger and husband George and Carol Warren and husband David, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Burial will be private and a memorial mass will be held in late spring or early summer. Contributions in Antoinette’s memory may be made to: Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center, 700 N. Sunnyside Ave, Sierra Madre CA 91024 Website: www.materdolorosa.org/memorial-gifts/
