Antoinette Zolezzi was born November 8, 1934 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The daughter of Antonia Tarantino and Frank Landowski, Antoinette moved to San Diego, California as a child. On Christmas Eve 1952, she met the love of her life, John Zolezzi Jr. And married in 1953.
Antoinette and John would go on to have four children Anthony, John, Maree (Sharman), and Paul. The pair were a part of the tuna fishing community in San Diego and would celebrate 68 years of marriage before John's passing in 2022.
Called Dolly by her friends, Antoinette was an incredible chef and baker in the kitchen, a wonderful friend to all who knew her, and a doting Nana to her grandchildren. A true matriarch, Dolly could often be found attending a wedding, christening, family event, lunch with friends, or any number of social events for the family and friends she so loved. A parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in Ocean Beach, her strong Catholic faith was central to her life, as well as many much loved family traditions.
She is survived by her four
children, seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way.
