She grew up in South Dakota, but moved to California when she was a young lady after she came to visit her Sister who was living here at the time. Arla Mae met and married Harold (Mac) McClure who passed when he was 62 and the couple was blessed with two children; a daughter, Barbara and a son David who passed last year.
Arla was someone who was always there for others. Always putting others before her, she would do anything for anyone in the world. She had a great sense of humor. When her children were young, she participated in their events, was always reliable and ready to help them in any way possible. She loved to cook, sew, and enjoyed the outdoors. Her caring for others resulted in her having many close friends and neighbors over the years. Oscar, Carmen and family were there to help and care for Arla and David. Every Tops friend brought endless support and an extended family..
Arla Mae is predeceased by her husband, Harold Lewis (Mac) and son David, and is survived by her daughter, Barbara and her husband Andy and grandson, Jonathon.
Arla Mae was a believer in the Lord, growing up in the Lutheran tradition. As we remember and celebrate her life, let us turn to God for comfort and encouragement.
