I was shocked to learn that Arland had passed away.  We were friends from Filmation Studios and kept in touch every 10 years or so. He did a few impersonations such as Gregory Peck and Cecil B Demille that we always had fun with. He was an excellent animator and had a great sense of humor. At one point I was writing an episode of the "Newhart" show and he was my sounding board to see if I was on the right track. I trusted his judgement since he knew the humor I was going for and he was very helpful. I did a Comic Book cover recreation for someone and he took it to the Aaron Brothers to get it framed and Arland helped him and recognized my name which was the first contact we had since Filmation closed. I know he was a believer so I look forward to seeing him in Heaven! Get those impressions ready Arland.. I will be there at some point!!!
