We were just talking about Audie last month. How all of us work together at Contra Costa County. Our friendship will be everlasting.
Miss you my brother.

Audie was a good friend & Co-worker while working with him in Contra Costa County. He had a gift of helping people & Audie had that leadership ability. Audie will never be forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Audie’s untimely passing and offer my deepest condolences to his wife and family. Audie and I met early on in my career with Contra Costa  County, and we worked together for many years in the Advocacy program. Audie was a kind mentor to me, and we enjoyed many laughs together.  He was always gentle and soft-spoken and fiercely loyal to his friends and family. Rest In Peace.
 

My earliest memories of cousin Audie is similar to my sisters', when our family visited his family in San Diego.  Though Kuya Audie towered over us kids, his soul radiated peace and gentleness, which made a little girl like me, feel comfortable in his presence.  
                 Growing up, we lost touch. It wasn't until I was married, with kids living in Northern CA, that I saw Kuya Audie again. He happened to be living in a city about an hour away from us, and came to visit when my parents were in town. He updated us on his life and all the relatives. From that visit, I learned several things about Kuya. He was a compassionate person, who went out of his way to take care of his family, whom he loved deeply. He cared about family bonds and had a desire to maintain them. He believed in God and humbly accepted life's struggles as God's refining of his faith. What I noticed during our visit was that even though Kuya towered over his petite relatives, he showed humble respect towards my parents, approaching and addressing them with the traditional filipino mannerisms. That image stuck in my mind of a giant bowing his head to my elderly parents' hands. Not only did Kuya Audie have an outwardly strong image, but he had the inner strength of humility and meekness to submit himself to the frail, but wise elderly. With a small, but powerful gesture, Kuya Audie, taught me where true strength thrives... in humility of the inner man.
               I am grateful for the short visit we enjoyed years ago, and only wish we had more. I am thankful to know that he found joy and happiness with his best friend, his beautiful wife.  My deepest condolences goes out to his family members. Kuya Audie left too early and will be missed.

I remember meeting my cousin, Audie, when I was young child. Our family would visit his family from time to time in San Diego. My sister and I usually spent more time playing with his sister, Edith Ann. Most of the time, as I recall, he and Adolfo were playing basketball outside. 
I am grateful for the fond childhood memories I have of him and his siblings.  I literally looked up to him! He was tall and very kind.

Cousin, may you rest in paradise.

I met Audie in ROTC at Morse when I was a Sophomore. He was kind and funny, he was also the tallest Filipino I've ever known. Audie and I reconnected after I graduated ftom high school at Bud Kearns Swimming Pool located at Morley Field. We had so much fun that summer! We lost touch and reconnected a second time, 6 years ago on FB. Some mornings when Audie was bored while at Dialysis he would message me and we would reminisce about our time in ROTC and working at the pool and before the pandemic hit, occasionally we would meet for lunch. My heart hurts, but I know you are no longer suffering.  Rest in Paradise my friend... I'll miss you.

Maria and family of our dear friend Audie, we cherish the memories of a life well lived. Your kindness, humor and joy of the Lord will be remembered and appreciated by each of us that have the awesome privilege of knowing you Audie. We love & miss you already.

I am fortunate enough to get to know Audie on multiple visits to San Diego and just hanging out with him, Maria and Sherry, Adolfo and Daria,  including when he was hospitalized 
He is truly a giant with a soft gentle heart 
And of course enjoyed talking to him about the Lakers / Kobe and him sharing his precious memorabilia 
We had so much fun when we watched football at the San Diego Stadium inspite of the rain and being so cold

Thanks Audie, for all the memories.  Our time in Jr. High, and High School. Playing basketball in the morning and at lunch.  Than hanging out  together after High school.  You backing me , when I went to the house of my High school crush. Than, after 38 years,  getting to meet face to face! Again, thanks my friend for all the memories! I  miss you already. 

First I would like to give my condolence to the Villanueva family. Audie & I met in 1999 while working for Contra Coats County. We had a common interest in sports & politics & we develop friendship for the next 20 some years. Audie had a desire to help people become self sufficient. I remember in 2002 when I had knee surgery Audie contacted me & brought all my personal belongings from the job to my home because I was off the job for 2/12 months. What a kind act. Audie worked well with people. Audie was fun to be around. Audie was a huge Laker fan. Used to kid me about my NY Knicks. Audie & I stayed in contact. Audie will be missed but not forgotten. I have no words to say only that God has received a Angel with a heart of gold. Bless you my friend.


           A TRIBUTE TO A BELOVED COUSIN, AUDIE

When someone leaves this earth, it is always a very sad moment, for we have developed that love and missing him is even harder. In the eyes of the almighty, He knows how much we would like him to stay forever I would say, but there is always a time when we are called to go home. 
There was a moment when we were younger that we frequented their house while Uncle Poling and auntie Editha were still around. The house was full of life to the delight of Audie, Adolfo, Edith Ann and all our relatives who were visiting as well. Such was the epitome of the closeness that thrived amongst us and furthermore, traits that were handed down by our grandparents.
Audie was soft spoken, humble and a likable guy. Although I was older, I looked up to him being that gentle giant so to speak.
Perhaps what is amazing was his display of heavenly characters by adhering to his beliefs and faith whenever oblivion prevailed.
Deep in him, he always wished that goodness should dwell in everyone, that great fortune strikes everyone, that love and peace thrives in everyone.
Beyond everything, Audie possessed the most delicate and refined appreciation for commonality, the truth and the characters that inhabited it. His priorities were undoubted.
He will be truly missed, our brother and our friend.

I met my cousin Audie i think when i was still in High school or early on in college when as Balikbayans he with his Dad Uncle Poling, visited my Dad Rolando who are cousins. So when i met Audie i was surprised that i didn't know i have a cousin who's taller than me, Audie was around 6'3" while i was 5'11" , so as the saying goes "Nan-liit" ako standing beside him hehe! I just saw Audie around twice or thrice in our lifetime since they are based in San Diego while me in Manila. What i remembered  from my gentle giant cousin was he was soft spoken & humble, just like Uncle Poling. 
Rest in peace Audie & say Hi to your parents & my parents. Til we meet again...someday🙏
