Bartolome "Tony" Peralta Oribello, age 86, of San Diego, California passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Bartolome was born in Casantaan, Santo Tomas, La Union, Philippines on February 26, 1937, to parents Cresencia Peralta Oribello and Mariano Padilla Oribello Sr. He spent his childhood years in and around Baguio City, and La Union. In 1954 he graduated from Baguio College High School. After High School while attending Mapua Institute of Technology taking up Mechanical Engineering, he worked as an apprentice at the US Naval base at Subic Bay. In 1960 he enlisted in the US Navy, had various duty stations including Annapolis Maryland, Newport Rhode Island and Port Schuyler New York. In 1966 he took his first vacation in 6 years to the Philippines where he met his future wife Virginia Paramio, and married in 1967. Later, while stationed in Guam, they welcomed their first two sons Jerald and Chris in 1968 & 1970. After a quick stint in Japan, the family was stationed at Pearl Harbor where their youngest son Ralph was born in 1972. In 1974 the family was stationed at 32nd Street Naval Station San Diego, where he retired in 1982 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer Machinist Mate. After the Navy, he went on to become a successful business owner operating coin laundries in Escondido and City Heights until his official retirement in 2017. In his spare time, Tony enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, fixing, building, and improving things, cruises, trips, occasional visits to the casino, and attending his grandchildren's events and family time. He is survived by his wife Virginia Paramio Oribello, sons Jerald Paramio Oribello, Chris Paramio Oribello, Ralph Paramio Oribello, and his wife Cristina Oribello, grandson Quentin Bailey Oribello, granddaughter Mackenzie Jules Oribello, sister Corazon Oribello Laca, brother Mariano Oribello Jr., sisters Maria Cristinia Oribello Gutierrez and Erna Oribello Marlang.
