Bea was devoted to her husband Frank (deceased) and was a pillar of faith and family in the Point Loma community. She was blessed with 10 children (Lynette, Frank, Mark, Larry, Susan, Kevin, Diane, Paul, Chris and Kim), 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Bea was born December 30, 1928 in Lowell, Massachusetts and moved to San Diego in her late teens where she met and married Frank, the love of her life. They were lifelong residents of Point Loma, and while Frank was often out to sea as a commercial tuna boat captain and owner, Bea remained a dedicated matriarch, always active within her community and regularly attended mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church where she married Frank in 1947. Bea was also involved in several philanthropic organizations where her compassionate soul touched many lives.
Bea led the most extraordinary life and always wanted to learn new things. As she aged, she found new passions in painting and jewelry making. Although she was beautiful, sophisticated, and talented, she would want to be remembered most as a proud mother and loyal servant of the Lord. Her joyous spirit, humor, and gentle love will be missed by all who knew her.
Bea is survived by her family, her sister Bella, several nieces and nephews, and many others who have found comfort in knowing she has reunited with her loved ones in heaven.
Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Friday, January 31st at 9:30am.
