Beverley Jean Craig

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Park– Sorrento Valley. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM with burial and reception to follow at El Camino Memorial Park.

Beverley graduated from San Diego High School (Class of ’65) and later from San Diego State University. In between, while attending San Diego City College, she met the love of her life, William Craig, and the two were married on July 26, 1969, at North Park Baptist Church.

She spent the early part of her adult life focused on raising her family and volunteering in her children’s schools. Later, she worked as a librarian and office clerk at Hawthorne Elementary and other schools in the San Diego City School District. Beverley was also deeply involved with the PTA and the American Baptist Women’s groups.

In her personal time, Beverley enjoyed sewing and reading, pursuits that brought her peace and joy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, twin brother Glenn, mother Emogene, and father Stanley.

Beverley is lovingly remembered by her children Michael, David, and Sandi; her brother James Sobel and sister Janet Sobel; and her cherished granddaughters Felicity and Samantha.
