Beverly Moore Paulson

Beverly "Bev" Moore PAULSON, age 71, of Del Mar, California passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Beverly was born May 10, 1950 in Benton, IL as the daughter of Richard and Mary (Moore) Johnson. She attended Kemper Hall high school in Kenosha, WI, received her BS degree from the University of Illinois (1972) and MEd from Duke University (1976). For a few years Beverly taught science in Parkland Community College (Champaign-Urbana, IL) and at Vance Granville Community College (Henderson, NC), but considered her true calling to be full time mother to her children. She cherished spending time with them from birth through their high school years, and was an avid volunteer at their schools. Bev also immensely enjoyed travel on vacations with family and on business with her husband Jim. In later years Bev loved the Del Mar Fair (Del Mar, CA), every year spending days to enjoy the events and talk with staff and fairgoers. She was known as an extremely kind and loving person, able to make strangers feel comfortable at a first meeting.She had a very quick wit and wicked sense of humor that elicited chuckles and outright laughter from family, friends and new acquaintances alike. She kept this amazing humor and positive outlook on life to the very end. Beverly is survived by Jim, her loving husband of 51 years; her daughter Lorien; her son Erik, daughter-in-law Aurea and granddaughters Violet and Lily; and her son Evan, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandson Kyle and granddaughter Emily.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
