Boksoon Noh passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Boksoon was born on March 23, 1935, in Seoul, Korea, the first of six children. She lived through the Japanese occupation and the Korean War.
After the loss of her father during the war, she helped raise her siblings by working in the Department of Health for the Seoul City Hall.
She married her Prince Charming on May 17, 1957, and had three children. In 1978, she moved with her family to Saudi Arabia then to England the following year. In 1980, she moved to the United States, settling in Oak Brook, Illinois. She moved to San Diego with her son’s family in 1997, where she enjoyed tending to her flowers and watching her grandchildren grow.
Boksoon lost the love of her life, Sung Yol, on January 20, 2016, and is survived by her three children (Anna, Jang, and Sunna), eight grandchildren (Lisa, Jonathan, Michael, Cathy, Cindy, David, Mia, and Erin), and two great-granddaughters (Willa and Sira).
