Thursday, February 28, 2020 at his home in North Park with his beloved cat, Pussums,
by his side.
Bradley was born on October 5,1966 at Jay County Hospital in Portland, Indiana to
Louden Clark and Beth Ann Snyder. He grew up in the Portland area attending Jay
County High School where he was active in gymnastics and 4H. He graduated with the
class of 1985.
After graduation, Bradley packed up his beloved Triumph TR6 sports car and set off
across the country to find his dreams in California where he settled in the State Capital
of Sacramento. He worked briefly in construction before settling into retail sales where
his knowledge and style eventually created great demand for his personal shopping
services at local high end clothiers for such luminaries as California Assembly Speaker
Willie Brown. However, any one who knew Bradley understood that his real passion lay
in the world of design. He saw color and beauty everywhere he looked and took
profound joy in bringing those two elements to life for everyone around him.
In the early ’90’s Bradley moved to San Diego where he was hired as the Head Florist
for the newly opened Four Seasons Aviara Resort. There he quickly established himself
as a major talent as well as a beloved persona within the design industry throughout
Southern California. Known for his uncanny ability to turn even the most mundane of
floral orders into something spectacular, Bradley soon understood that his talent would
take him far beyond just florals and into the world of special events.
He joined a local special events firm in San Diego where his focus was on large
corporate events for such giants as Wells Fargo and Mitsubishi. Anytime these
companies came to San Diego, Bradley Snyder was their go to event coordinator. His
work in corporate events took him all over the country as well as to Mexico and the
Caribbean.
Bradley also developed a reputation for his over the top wedding designs and in short
order brides and grooms were lining up to have him create their special day. His
success in this sometimes challenging area of professional event design led him to
create a successful boutique wedding division within the company called “White
Wedding Day Events.”
After the several years, he left White Wedding Day to form his own special events and
design company which allowed him to fully embrace his talent and knack for creating
everything fabulous. “Fun With Jack” with its signature tagline, “Redefining The Art of
Celebration” was born. Under his company’s banner he not only focused on weddings
but also interior design. Bradley quickly cultivated a vibrant clientele who sought him out
for everything from event planning and home make overs to his over the top holiday
decor designs and installations. One instantly knew upon entering a home for holiday
festivities that it was a home designed by Bradley Snyder. As was his nature, his clients
were more than just paying customers. His innate ability to understand their needs and
ability make them a reality led to most of those clients welcoming him into their lives and
homes as a treasured friend.
To know Bradley was to know a force of nature with a heart as big as his booming voice
and joyous spirit which knew no bounds. He did not just embrace life, he devoured it
with every fiber of his being. His birth and chosen families, which extend from San
Diego around the world, are able to take comfort in knowing that as they loved him, they
were loved in return and remained always a cherished part of his all too short life.
Bradley was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and younger brother AJ
He is survived by his brothers Jeff Snyder and Steve Snyder of Portland, Indiana and
their respective families.
A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, April 05, 2020, from 1:00pm to
4:00pm at the Intercontinental San Diego located at 901 Bayfront Court San Diego,
California 92101.
In lieu of flowers Bradley requested donations be made to the San Diego LGBT Center.
