Carmen Lucille Ball

Carmen was born on December 26th, 1931 in Milford, ME to her parents Helen and Herbert V Lord.

She spent her childhood and formative years in Maine, graduating from Lee Academy and Husson College.

She married her beloved husband Louis X Ball in June of 1953. They raised a family of four consisting of two boys and two girls. They also had the privilege of helping raise a grandson in their later years. She loved her large extended family which included her eight grandchildren and twenty- five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, and a beloved son and great- granddaughter.

Carmen and her husband settled in San Diego, CA in the late 1950’s. They raised their family, enjoying all the activities that Southern CA afforded them. Carmen was very active in St. Columba Parish where she was part of the marriage preparation, bible study, and eucharistic ministries. She also sang in the choir and was a member of different guilds within the church.

Her greatest joy was her family and she was an amazing homemaker who welcomed everyone with open arms and loving care. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, cooking Sunday meals, and being with family.

She will be dearly missed this side of Heaven. She will be interred in a private family ceremony in her home state of Maine.
