Christine Lee Randalls was born February 24, 1953 in Kankakee, Illinois, to Evelyn Sara Randalls and George Byron Randalls. She was the middle child of the three daughters born to Evelyn and George. Her father worked as a truck driver and her mother worked as a cashier at a local supermarket.
Chrissy moved to San Diego with her mother and two sisters in 1964. She excelled at school, attending Euclid Elementary school, Horace Mann Middle school, and Crawford High School where she graduated in 1971.
Following high school, Chrissy was hired at Safeway Stores where she initially worked as snack bar attendant, but rose through the ranks to Courtesy Clerk, Checker, Stocker, Inventory Control Clerk, and File Maintenance Clerk. It was at Safeway where she met her future husband, Michael Moroney. Michael and Chrissy were married in 1992.
After the passing of her mother in 1985, Chrissy vowed to return to school and become a teacher. She attended Mesa Community College and transferred to San Diego State University, where she majored in English. Even though she worked full time, she was able to maintain a grade point average near 4.0. By effectively organizing her class schedule, she was able to graduate, having completed all the courses for her teaching credential. While completing her Student Teaching requirement, Chrissy was hired as a full-time teacher for the following semester. She was then recruited and offered a full-time job for the following year in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District.
Chrissy taught in LEUSD for six years, teaching students in grades 6,7, and 8. During that time, she returned to school and earned a masters degree in Educational Counselling. Soon after she applied and was hired by Temecula Valley USD, and she served students at Temecula Valley High School until she retired in 2018.
Chrissy and Michael loved to travel to exotic destinations all over the world, and have been blessed with schedules that have allowed them to do so.
Chrissy is survived by her husband Michael, her younger sister, Peggy Sue Randalls, her nephew, Michael Anthony Martinez, and her niece, Dawn Elise (Martinez) Herrod. She was preceded by her older sister, Linda Lou (Randalls) Martinez, and her parents.
Chrissy was the kindest, most loving person anyone could hope to meet, and she will be truly missed.
