

Clairenel “Claire” Roby (Reed) Bianchi was born in the West Hollywood area of California on November 13, 1945. She was raised in Hermosa Beach,California, along with her brother Mel Stoltz and sister Lori (Reed) Innerasky, by her parents Robert E Reed and Helen Etta Reed.
In 1961, at the age of 16, she met Anthony “Tony” Bianchi, the love of her life, while water skiing at the Silver Strand in Imperial Beach, CA. She graduated from Mira Costa High School in June of 1963 and then she and Tony were married on April 11, 1964. They were stationed at Offutt Air Force base in Plattsmouth, Nebraska until 1966 and then moved home to San Diego, CA where they bought their first home and raised their 5 children.
Claire was an active member in the Catholic Church and community of North Park. She was always willing to help out at school or with family and friends with anything they needed. Whether it was a ride, a haircut, working the polls, someone needing something to be sewn, food or a hug, she was always happy to help others and always with a beautiful smile.
Claire had an honest and beautiful heart and made you feel loved, valued and appreciated. She loved to garden, dance and sew. She enjoyed musicals and the beach and loved to swim and entertain friends and family in her backyard pool.
In 1991, Claire began her training in nursing, and then became a CNA and began working for Grossmont Hospital as a Home Health Aide. In 1993, while planning to further her studies as an LVN, her beloved husband, Tony suffered a stroke and consequently required her assistance for daily care. She spent the next 10 years of his life traveling with and caring for him until his passing in 2003. Claire continued living in the North Park community of San Diego for the next 17 years.
She enjoyed being with friends and family, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as much as possible. In 2020, Claire moved to Cicero, Indiana to live with her daughter, Dolores, and her Indiana family.
Claire was surrounded by love as she transitioned to her heavenly home and was reunited with her beloved Tony on July 10, 2022 at the age of 76. She is survived by her sister Lori, 5 children Dolores, Christine, Theresa, Gina and Michael, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Claire will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego, CA 92102. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego, CA 92102.
