Constantine S. Castro

Constantine S. Castro, 78, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. A dedicated community member, he spent two decades as a charter member of the Lions Club. After joining in 2006, he played a pivotal role in shaping the San Diego Pathfinders Lions Club beginning in 2013. He served faithfully in several leadership capacities, including Club Twister, Lion Tamer, Vice President, and as a member of the Board of Directors. In his free time, Constantine loved playing chess, volunteering at local fundraising projects, and cherishing time with his family.

Constantine was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Julio Castro Jr., Adolfo Castro, Gloria Amata, and Agosto Castro. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nita; his four daughters, Teresa Mariano (Alberto), Annie Holtzman (Benjamin), Beverly Tway (Thomas), and Connie Castro; and his ten grandchildren: Kurt, Kyle, Brian, Christopher, Joshua, Devin, Ethan, William, Hanna, & Charlotte and great granddaughter Aeris.

The viewing will be held at El Camino Memorial Park on July 29, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mira Mesa, on July 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

The reception will be at Seaside Buffet, located at 8998 Miramar Road in San Diego on July 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
