David James deBroekert

May 21st, 1958 - April 16th, 2025

David James deBroekert passed away peacefully at his home with his beloved wife Rosemary at his side.

David was born in Palo Alto, California. He attended San Diego State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, on May 25th, 1984. David went on to work in the Insurance Industry. He loved San Diego and made it his permanent home.

David & Rosemary traveled extensively throughout the United States, Central & South America, Europe and Canada. They collected works of art as mementos of their adventures. They appreciated music and were frequently seen at live music venues, well dressed for the occasion.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rosemary (Overman) deBroekert. David will also be missed by his father James C. de Broekert and his siblings Michael G. de Broekert, Janice Krenn & Annette Rosen. He was “Uncle David” to seven nieces & nephews.

David’s dramatic sense of style, his excellent culinary skills & his wonderful stories will be missed by all.
