As a pioneering figure in the world of fashion, Delores carved her niche as a visionary clothing designer and astute business owner of the renowned Delores Campbell Rags to Stitches boutique in Mission Hills. Her innate flair for creativity was evident in every stitch, every pattern, and every ensemble she crafted. Delores's designs transcended mere garments; they were expressions of artistry and elegance. Through her work, she adorned her clients with her beautiful designs, leaving an indelible mark on the San Diego fashion community.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Delores was a devoted mother to her daughter Elizabeth (James), gourmet cook and cherished wife to her late husband Roger. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect, enriching the lives of all who knew them.
Delores's legacy extends to her role as a grandmother to Sadie, Gabrielle, and Leila, whom she showered with boundless affection. Her presence illuminated their lives, creating countless memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
In every aspect of her life, Delores exemplified grace, poise, and resilience. Her spirit, imbued with warmth and generosity, touched the hearts of many. Though she has bid farewell to this world, her legacy will endure eternally in the hearts of those she has left behind.
As we mourn the loss of Delores, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the profound impact she made on the lives of so many. A Funeral Mass will be held May 23rd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coronado at 10:00. We’d like to thank her amazingly devoted caregivers, Ruth, Patty, Marissa and Karla, who provided compassionate loving care and companionship during her last years of life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sharp Hospice care San Diego. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration, guiding us through moments of sorrow with the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the beauty she created and the love she shared.
