Denise Joellene Harter

Denise Joellene Harter, aged 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 30, 2024. Born on March 10, 1958, in Bellflower, California, Denise was the cherished daughter of Larry J. Rhodes and Jacquelyn Charette. She was lovingly raised by Robert D. and Jacquelyn Charette, and spent her formative years in Niantic, Connecticut, alongside her siblings Kimberly, Karen, Keith, and Diane. As an adult, she built her life in San Diego, where she was able to spend more time with her brother Tab, her dad Larry, loving stepmother Jeannie and mother-in-law Martha.

Denise was a devoted and selfless mother, pouring her love and care into her sons, Kiefer and Conner. She found immense joy and purpose in raising her children and later in cherishing her role as a grandmother to Wyatt and Fiona.

In addition to her nurturing nature as a mother, Denise dedicated her professional life to nursing, touching many lives of patients and coworkers with her kindness and compassion.

Beyond her career, she found joy in her deep love for animals, art, the beach, and nature.

Denise is survived by her sons, Kiefer and Conner, and her beloved grandchildren, Wyatt and Fiona. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate Denise's life will be held April 13, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Pacific Beach – La Jolla Chapel, 4710 Cass Street, San Diego, CA. Denise's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and those who loved her dearly.
