OBITUARY

Diane Lorraine Stock

May 24, 1937April 10, 2018

Diane Lorraine Stock passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born on May 24th, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York. The daughter of Herman and Valeria Jurges.

Diane was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a kind and caring soul. Always thinking of others, especially when it came to her family. Her family was her pride and joy. Diane was very easy to be with. She truly listened to what you had to say. Making you feel important and special. It reflected on the many friends she and Bob had over the years. And there were many. Even as Alzheimer’s limited her ability to communicate, people were still drawn to her generous spirit and engaging personality.

Diane and Bob were married June 6, 1959. They had a beautiful and loving relationship that lasted nearly 59 years. Over the years, they lived in many places. Long Island, New York, Huntsville, Alabama, San Mateo, California, Honolulu, Hawaii and eventually settling down in San Diego, California in 1969.

Not only was Diane a lovely wife, she was a mother who raised three beautiful children. She also worked for the San Diego County of Office Education for over twenty years.

Diane is survived by her husband Robert Stock, son Glenn (Sue) Stock, daughters Karen Stock, Cheryl (Gregg) Stock, and grandsons Ryan, Tyler, Kevin and Collin.

Diane was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church for over twenty years.

Diane will be truly missed here on earth. She has begun a new chapter. Heaven now has a new Angel.

My beautiful, vibrant, witty friend, Diane, and I met at the County Office in 1975. Over the years, we shared many experiences and good times, mostly involving food. Diane was such fun, a good friend, and laughter always guaranteed when she was around. The world is a little less bright without her. I have lots of fond memories and will miss her greatly.
