

With deep love and sorrow we say goodbye to Doloreta (Doly) Parker. Doly passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on July 8th, the birthdate of her dear beloved husband Bert. Doly lived a wonderful life and passed at the age of 96.
Doly was born on April 15 1929 in Nampa Idaho. She was one of eight children born to George and Mabel Martineau. Doly will be lovingly remembered by her children Carol Parma, Rene Damanhouri, Doug and Shawn Parker. Grandchildren Sara Parma Homan, Anna Parma, Luis Parma, Jacob Parker, Bakr and Sultana Damanhouri.
Doly grew up on a beautiful farm in Nampa Idaho. After high school she pursued a career in nursing. Doly worked as a nurse in VA hospitals caring for veterans in Long Beach Ca., Port Angeles Wa. And Hilo Hawaii. Having the travel bug Doly pursued a career as a flight attendant with TWA. . She was based in San Francisco and then New York where she met Bert, her beloved husband of almost 60 years. Bert was a pilot for TWA. Together they traveled the world and raised a family in Long Island New York. They moved to San Diego in 1964, their dream. She was a member of a retired TWA flight attendant group called clipped wings where she made many dear friends and had many wonderful travel experiences.
Doly will be remembered for her sweet smile, kindness and loving heart. She had a deep love for our lord Jesus Christ and when well attended mass and rosary regularly. She had passion for her garden, travel, art and especially her family. She will be deeply missed.
Doly will be celebrated with a funeral mass at Mary Star of the Sea in La Jolla, Her beloved parish July 25 at noon.
All who knew and loved her are welcome.
