I miss him a lot. I wish I would have had a closer relationship with my grandpa than I had. I love him a lot and am very proud of his service to our country and am not shy to express it. I hope that he knows how much I cared for him.

Even though I didn't know Donald personally, he was a submarine veteran and that made him a member of one of the greatest groups of US veterans. As such he will be missed by everyone in the submarine community. Pride runs deep. My thoughts go with all of the members of his family in their time of great sorrow. Sailor rest your oar.
