As a child, Don moved to San Pablo in Northern California, and then to San Diego, as his step-dad was in the Navy.
Don was drafted and served in Vietnam in 1966-1967. He was very proud of his Vietnam service with the Army and of being a Veteran.
Don had a strong career in restaurant management and then in direct sales. He liked to cook, and to watch sports. He played golf, liked to watch videos, and loved animals, especially cats. He liked living near the ocean.
Don and his wife Linda were together for 54 years and lived in various cities in Southern California. They retired in Fallbrook and then Encinitas.
Don was a positive friendly person who liked to socialize and had a good sense of humor.
