Elaine June Barrack, June 21, 1936 - August 5, 2019: Daughter of Mary Margaret & Nasim George Sawaya.
Born in San Diego California spent much of early childhood in Alpine California (where she attended elementary school). Attended Grossmont High School. Married August 19, 1956 to Alfred Thomas Barrack.
They raised 7 children and have been blessed with 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Elaine put aside her career to become a devoted wife and dedicated mother. She always said her greatest reward in life was to be fully present & available to raise her children the best she knew how by being there and teaching her Faith through love and example. She gave unselfishly and served as an advocate in her life of dedication to service for the intellectually and developmentally disabled like her daughter Lorraine.
She will dearly be missed by all, but we will look to the light of heaven knowing mom is always with us.

Elaine June Barrack
August 11, 2019
My family and I will always be deeply grateful for Elaine Barrack and her husband Alfred. My brother David lives at the Alfred and Elaine Barrack Home. Thanks to the Barracks, my parents lived to see my brother placed in this beautiful house.
Elaine was a dear, sweet, woman who cared about others, and was unfailingly kind and generous. Her life was a great example of how to make the world a better place, and how to live one's faith. She will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy and love to all the Barrack family. Her kindness was contagious and her memory will live on forever.
I will always remember Aunty Elaine as someone who would light up a room and always admired her great spirit, positivity and support of community.
I look forward to celebrating her life and eternal love with all reaches of the Barrack Family and wish you all comfort during this difficult time.
