

2022 at 11:25 AM at age 83. She was born in San Fernando, Pampanga in the Philippines and was the
fifth of eight children. She is survived by her two sisters Marilou Cariño and Prima Mallari. Elvira lived with
the sure hope she would one day be reunited in heaven with her father and mother Alberto and Prima
Guinto, and her loving husband Oscar Roncal Snr.
Elvira will be forever missed by her six children and families - Maylane, Christine, Oscar Jr., Bernadette,
Joseph and Oliver and eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and
friends.
She completed her primary school at Saint Scholastica Academy School for Girls in Pampanga,
Philippines, graduated high school at Far Eastern University and earned her Bachelor's degree in
Commerce at the University of Santo Tomas in 1959.
She worked at ABC CBN TV and met her husband. They got married September 12, 1959 in the Lourdes
Church in Quezon City Philippines. She became a widow at age 33 in 1971. Elvira migrated to America
around late 1984 and worked at several companies. She retired in 2003 at the age 65.
She remained active after retirement and devoted herself as a parishioner at our Lady of Mount Carmel
for over 38 years. She also joined the YMCA and loves to dance, listen to music or watch movies. She
was a big fan of Elvis Presley and never missed listening to his songs .
She loved to cook and family and friends will surely miss her Pampanga Filipino cuisine.
