Eric Justin Prevost

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Prevost, who left us on July 1, 2024, at the age of 18.

Eric was born on August 13, 2005, in San Diego, CA, to Charles and Sarah Prevost. His adventurous spirit was evident from early on. As a child, he brimmed with energy and curiosity, whether scaling trees, racing on his bike, or gliding on rollerblades. His love for adventure blossomed further through pursuits like rock climbing and mountain biking. Those who were close to Eric admired his brilliance and unique perspective on life. Completing high school at just 16, he embarked on his journey at the University of Alaska in Anchorage. He approached this new chapter enthusiastically, eager to learn, grow, and immerse himself in fresh experiences. Alaska captured his heart like nowhere else; he often spoke of its beauty and cherished dreams of one day calling it home.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Prevost. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Charles and Nancy Prevost; sister, Lorraine Prevost; maternal grandparents, Steve and Dean Fowler; paternal grandparents, Laurent and Nancy Prevost; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Please join us in celebrating Eric’s life at a memorial service on Sunday, July 21, at 9:00 AM at El Camino Memorial Park, followed by a graveside committal service at 10:00 AM, where he will be laid to rest alongside his mother. A lunch reception will take place immediately after the memorial services at the reception area near the chapel.

Though Eric is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Eric.
