Again, our hearts go out to Susie, Eric and Leslie. Ernie will be in our hearts forever. We are grateful for the time and knowledge he shared with us over the years. We loved hearing about his beloved family, his trips and his animals. We were blessed by his refined and great sense of humor. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to have been befriended by this thoughtful gentleman. We truly believe that Ernie has heard the words "well done, good and faithful servant".

I am sad at the passing of Mr. Ernie Gee. He was the kindest most humble human being that I have ever met. He was helpful and very intelligent. He once helped the Church that I was attending out of a big financial situation with his incredible financial expertise. I will forever remember his infectious smile, laugh and gentle and kind spirit. Rest Well Mr. Gee 💜

Always enjoyed talking with Ernie. He was very intelligent, witty, and had a good sense of humor. We agreed on most political issues so that made things easy. I really enjoyed seeing the model train setup he had in their back yard. He did great work on it. He took great care of his family, especially my sister Susie. For that I am grateful. Rest in peace my friend.

Ernie was one of my best friends. He treated my family like family and if you were his friend he treated you like royalty. He was one of the kindest souls I have ever met. He was always there to assist and he took care of a lot of people. He was the type of friend that would never let you down. He gave the best advice and had a way of explaining things I will never forget. He would have been a great teacher. The best thing about him was you knew he enjoyed his life. I miss him every day since his passing.

I met Ernie in 1988 when I was hired as a very junior accountant at UCSD Medical Center. I won't say it was an instant friendship because he and Dave Huls the other accountant gave me a hard time at first. I wondered if they were ever going to think I was doing anything right and accept me. After about six months, I new I had passed their tests when they invited me for lunch. Our friendship continued until the day he passed away even after I retired and moved to New York. We often talked on the phone and shared a lot of good memories. One of my favorite was after I was promoted to manager of Accounts Payable. After everyone else had gone home, he would come and sit in my office and we would solve all the problems of the world together. Sweet times! Rest easy my friend. Your work on earth is done. We will miss you.

I have the joy of knowing Ernie through work. Throughout the years, I learned so much from him, from the accounting principles to raising a family. He was a mentor and a great friend. He was always patient and had your best interest at heart. He always had a smile and shared great stories about raising his own kids. I am very blessed to have known him as a friend and I will truly miss him.

Ernie was always friendly and welcoming. When I lived in SanDiego I was, gratefully, included in many family activities, including meals at restaurants. Ernie had a set meal he ate for each restaurant we visited. Once, his wife, children and I convinced him to try something else. ANYTHING else. He did. He said he enjoyed it but would return to his “favorite”. We never bothered him about it again. He was a happy creature of habit and endearing for having made the concession that one time.

I knew Ernie somewhat under a year through business. He was one of the kindest souls I have ever met. No matter what he was going through, he never wanted to bring any body down. Mild mannered, always a smile,
Hard worker, man of integrity... he will be truly missed but not forgotten. My sincere condolences to the family. God bless you and will be praying for you.
