Ernest Joseph Keeny

Ernest J. Keeny, 84, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2012 at St. Paul's Health Center. He was born in Fredericksburg, PA on September 2, 1928 to Stanley and Geneva Smith Keeny. He graduated from Pine Grove High School.

After attending Business College in Harrisburg, PA, Ernest began his career at International Harvester Company in the farm equipment division. This brought opportunity for several travel experiences including locations in upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and ultimately in Ohio. After 39 years of service, he retired and moved to San Diego, California.

Ernest stayed busy with golf club manufacturing, woodworking, and being an all around handyman. As an avid golfer, Ernie cherished life long friendships with his golfing buddies and visited many beautiful courses. Ernie also had a special place in his heart for the many family pets he had through the years.

Ernest was a dedicated family man. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Wenger Keeny, his daughter Sherri Keeny, of Bedford, PA, and his son Jeffrey Keeny, of San Diego, CA. Ernest was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
