Ya pasaronn 7 anos desde que no estas con nosotros. Es un dia triste hoy en tu aniversario. Espero no para ti. Espero haya una vida despies de esta y que Estes Feliz.  Aun asi. Pienso en lo injusta que fue la vida para ti. Amastes mucho, y no fuistes correspondida por aquellos en quienes dedicated tu vida. Pocos saben lo que sufristes en tus ultimos dias..no solo fisicamente dolor pero moral y emocionalmente. Aquellos que mas amabas fueron Los que mas te lastimaron. Pero ya no estas aqui. Ya no lo podran hacer. Tus Amigas que te apreciabamos te extranamis mucho y vibes por siempre en nuestros pensamientos.

My name is Ana Alcott ,and she was a social worker on our case a long time ago but I really know she was a very good lady I considered her a friend to our family know she is in a better place. And I want to give my condolences to her husband .

Jim.  Our prayers are with you.  I am very sorry for your loss.  Esmeralda and her family have been in my prayers for year.  She was a bright light in my family's life in the worst time, yet.  May God bless you and your family.

Esmeralda always stood out of the crowd
and her passing away was no different,
Esmeralda passed away when a whole country is celebring "El Dia de los Muertos" Nov 2nd. when thousands of candles will be light up, prayers will be raised and her graduation anniversary to a higher existence will be always remembered by known and strangers as well..You did it again Esmeralda!

I think heaven is rejoicing welcoming you Esmeralda!they don't have a clue who just got there! so fun, so energetic, positive, honest and great!!!!

I am so blessed to have known and worked with Esmee.  She devoted so much of her time and effort for others.  She worked so hard for the families that we deal with and made such a huge impact on those families.  And to her work family, she added so much life and laughter.  She was a beautiful person and I am going to miss her dearly.  To Jim, Michelle and Patrick even though I just recently met you I feel like I have known you guys for a long time.  Esmee always shared so many wonderful stories about you guys.

I had the privilege of being a close friend to Esmeralda, Accompanied Esmeralda in critical times after hearing news about medical results, I fell on my feet while she kept standing up, comforting me instead of me comforting her, I told Esmeralda "I feel embarrassed of walking by your side" she laughed and asked why, I said because I realize how distant I am from being the Great, giving, compassionate, wonderful human being that you are" she laughed and gave me a hug.Jim comforted me by saying, "There s no lost in Glory" his words made me realize that our beautiful Esmeralda is where she belongs now, with the almighty, full of light, w no pain, and surrounded by jesus's love,  till we meet again, beloved Friend.

Jim & family, I am so sorry to hear of Esmeralda's passing, i had only been around her a few times but she was exactly as written here. May God rest her soul.

Jaime, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Esmeralda about 6 years ago. My prayers are with you and your family.

Esme was a loving, giving, and delightful person. She loved her husband, her family, and life. She gave her best to her job and the people she served. I feel honored to have known her.

God Bless the Donnelly Family. My deepest condolences, Esmeralda was an exceptional woman who was admired and will be missed my many.

I always enjoyed working with Esme. She had a larger-than-life personality and was dedicated to her work.  She also had tremendous courage. May she rest well, and my condolences to her family.

Jim, Patrick and Michelle, I met your mother many years ago when she worked in IHSS through the years I kept running into her due to her line of work. She always had serious and deep conversations with me and also made me laugh with her witty humor.  She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Jim and family, Our hearts go out to you for the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother, she loved and enjoyed life to the fullest.  Hold those loving memories close to your heart and pass them on to your children. Esmi was a fighter and inspiration.

Esmeralda Donnelly
July 23, 1963 - November 2, 2013
 
Esmeralda was born in Mexicali, BC, Mexico. Her parents were Evarista and Salvador Hernandez. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in Mexico. She worked for 23 years at the Imperial County Department of Social Services in several different programs where she helped many individuals. Esmeralda was a cofounder of the Imperial County Cancer Resource Center. She served as a board member for the Center board for 10 years. Esmeralda brought many people to the center and offered her services freely to council people about cancer.
 
Esmeralda believed in service to mankind. She was loved dearly by those who worked with her and have known her. She was energetic, the life of the party, and an unhampered delight for truth and conversation. Esmeralda was the loving wife of James (Jim) L. Donnelly. They celebrated their 29th year wedding anniversary in August. She is survived by her son Patrick Donnelly and daughter Michelle Donnelly. She has three grandchildren, Julius Joshua Donnelly (4 years old), Patrick Donnelly (2 years old), and Joseph Emmanuel Medina (10 months old). Esmeralda is also survived by her parents Evarista and Salvador, siblings Gerardo, Rosa, Poncho, Armando and Jenny. She was beautiful, loving, caring and will forever be missed. She used to say sleep with the angels to her children at bedtime. Sleep with the Angels Esme.
Esmeralda passed away November 2, 2013 in the early afternoon after her second two year battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
