Eula Mae Lawrence

Eula was born May 10, 1945 in Minden, Louisiana. She was the youngest child born to the union of Fate and Annie Bell Jefferson. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal friend and savior.

Eula attended Webster High school in Minden. Upon completion, she relocated to San Diego, California where she met and married Ambrose William Lawrence, Sr. on October 2, 1965. This union was blessed with four children Tamekia, Ambrose Jr., Gayle and Sherri.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her love for those around her was ever present in her daily life; always welcoming people into her home for home cooked meals, laughter and an open heart. Her love wasn*t just secluded to her home, but was spread throughout the community: volunteering at local schools, the Boys and Girls Club as well as becoming a foster mother to over 50 children.

On Saturday, January 19, 2013 Eula was called from labor to eternal rest. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 47 years Ambrose Lawrence, Sr.; son Ambrose Lawrence Jr.; daughters Tamekia Lawrence, Gayle Lawrence and Sherri Lawrence; and daughter-in-law Tangela Lawrence, all residing in the greater Phoenix area; granddaughters Tracion Davis, Ashley Jones, Alexy Lawrence, Alyssa Lawrence; grandson Devon Lawrence and sister Ruth Verge of Wichita, Kansas as well as a whole wonderful host of relatives, friends, and loved ones.
