Evelyn Louise Frazier was born to Virgil and Mable Frazier on February 22, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She always said that growing up in Indianapolis was a joyous time in her life. She was a proud product of the Indianapolis public school system where she attended Crispus Attucks High School. At a young age while living in Indianapolis Evelyn took her step of faith and gave her life to Christ and was an active member of Irvington First Baptist Church.
At a young age she married James William Rubin Hill. From that union was born three children, Herschell, Ernestine and James (Tony) Hill. After the dissolution of that marriage, and a few years later, Evelyn met and fell in love with Donatus Benjamin Anderson. After a brief courtship Evelyn and Donatus (Ben) were married on May 29, 1963, and remained together for 48 years until the time of her home going.
In 1985 Evelyn realized a lifelong dream and moved to San Diego, CA where Ben joined her a few years after his retirement from Amtrak. Wanting to continue to serve the Lord, Evelyn united her membership with Pilgrim Progressive Baptist Church in San Diego, CA where she was an active member of the choir, ushers and faithfully serving with the homeless ministry.
Evelyn was a dedicated mother and hard worker. For more than 30 years she worked in the service industry where she enjoyed serving and meeting people.
