Ferdinand Monterey Balagtas

Ferdinand Monterey Balagtas was Born September 12th, 1943 - Capas, Tarlac, Philippines. Married to former Carmelita Pena Celis on September 20th, 1975 - Rochester New York Celebrated 40 years of marriage in 2015 - Honolulu, Hawaii. Ferdinand died peacefully on April 4th, 2016 - San Diego, CA. He was the beloved father to 3 children: Christel Tran, Cynthia and Ferdinand Balagtas Jr; and brother of Erlinda Arreza, Henry, Clinton, Meinrado, Edgar Balagtas, and Frances Marie Panlaqui. Also survived by the grandchildren he adored: Noah, Caleb, and Phoebe Tran. Ferdinand received a degree in Pre-Law major in Criminology from PCCR and Degree in Health Science from George Washington University. He Proudly served in US Navy from 1965-1985 as Hospital Corpsman, Chief Technologist, Radiology Department - NAS Miramar, San Diego, Ca.. Ferdinand held jobs as a Radiology Technologist and a Real Estate Agent. He was the COPAO Chairman of San Diego, Founding Chairman Capasenans Association of San Diego County, PASDC President of San Diego, President Pampango Circle of Hawaii, Vice President FIL/AM Military Assocation of Hawaii His awards and Recognition include: ERA member of Million Dollar Club 1985, RE/MAX member of Multi-million Dollar Club 1987, RE/MAX member of Presidents Club 1987-1990, RE/MAX member of Executive Club 1991, Selected as one of the 10 Filipino most outstanding Businessmen/women of San Diego 1988, Selected as Who is Who in California 1987 /1988
