Frank Bonham lived in San Diego since he was three when his family moved from Illinois. Frank attended Herbert Hoover High and graduated from SDSU. He went on to serve in the US Navy during WWII where he was stationed on the Palau Islands and then Okinawa with the third Marine Air Wing as the Ship Plot Officer. After being released from the Navy in 1946 Frank got his teaching credential at USC and taught at San Diego High where he met his wife Corinne Wright and they were married in 1954. They settled in La Jolla near UCSD where they lived with their two children; Cheryl and Paul. Frank later received his PhD and taught Biology at Mesa College until 1999. Frank survived his wonderful wife of 59 years. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Wilson of La Mesa, son Paul Bonham of Austin, Texas; granddaughter Abigail Brewer and her husband Ron Brewer along with their two children Braden and Samantha; and grandson Tim Wilson and his wife Tonya Wilson. He loved his family, he loved the Navy, he loved teaching and he loved nature. Services are to be held at El Camino Memorial in Sorrento Valley on March 23, 2018 at 1:00pm.
