Francisco Lutap was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on September 17th, 1921.
He married Magdalena, his wife of 60 years in 1943. They had 7 children: 5 sons and 2 daughters.
Francisco worked as Manager at Superior Food Products in the Philippines, and as a parttime stenographer.
The whole family migrated to the US in 1971, when his eldest son joined the US Navy. Francisco & Magdalena in fulfillment of their American dream both worked at Scripps Mercy Hospital in SD, CA until their retirement.
When his wife Nelly passed, he lived at different times with his seven children enjoyed having him with them at different times doing family activities with his grandchildren in tow. As he started to advance in years, he decided to live at Wildomar Senior Assisted Living. He found joy in dancing, meeting new people, concentrating on his puzzles & Sudoku interacting with the other residents, don in his familiar beret & infamous smile as he walked the corridors to dine with them.
Frank was preceeded by his wife Nelly and joined the Lord on August 22, 2026 at the age of 104.
A quip from his 100th birthday, what he wished he was quick to answer: “to be 108 years old”!
Dad lived a full life leaving behind fond memories
a legacy for his children, grandchildren and great grand-children.
