George was born on July 27, 1932, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents Thaddeus and Sophie (Synovitz) Borun. George valued education; and earned a Masters of Arts in Literature, and a Ph.D. in chemistry. George was an active member of the United Methodist Church in La Jolla, faithful husband to Bernys Jo for 56 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Bernys, and son Mark A. He is survived by son Michael G. who now resides in Southeast Michigan.
George was an entrepreneur and business owner, an accomplished violin maker and participant in Luthier Society, an artist, philanthropist, and a combat veteran (Army) of the Korean War. Son Michael and remaining family are saddened by George’s death and thank Hospice for ease in his passing.
